Pregnancy Stages ? Wonder No Longer

Going through the various Pregnancy Stages is a pleasure for each and every woman, since many believe pregnancy enhances her womanhood. Whenever a woman becomes pregnant, she becomes overwhelmed by the thought of bringing a new life to the world.

Pregnancy is the privilege of experiencing one of the best miracles of God. Watch and feel your little angel grow inside you, your fetus week by week, month by month, and wait eagerly for the day to hold a new life in your hands.

The Various Pregnancy Stages

The pregnancy stages, which tell you about the growth of your child, are in itself a memorable journey. But you need to know exactly what each trimester holds in store for you and your baby.

The first trimester which extends from 0-12 weeks will introduce several changes in your body. You will experience developments like nausea, fatigue, backaches, vomiting, mood swings, weight gain, and breast changes like tenderness, swelling, and enlargement. You may also experience increased heart rate, food cravings, leg cramps, frequency of urination, and more. But don’t you worry; these occurrences are just normal and not a cause of concern. In fact, to look at the brighter side, this first one of the three pregnancy stages will let you experience your child’s heartbeat, the formation of his/her face and various vital organs, and the wonder of experiencing the growth of your fetus week through week.
The second trimester will introduce new pains and new excitements during the 13-28 weeks of your pregnancy. The new pains may range from stretch marks, skin changes, protruding belly making your pregnant state visible, morning sickness, abdominal and lower back pain, increase in urination frequency due to the need to relieve pressure on the bladder, shortness of breath, difficulty in sleeping, itching, heartburn, constipation among others. The exciting part about this pregnant period is the growth of your child’s fingers, toes, eyelashes and eyebrows. You may even feel its movement around the fifth month. The end of this trimester is a happy ending as the heart, lungs and kidneys of the child have been formed.
And finally, the time you had been eagerly waiting for- the third trimester. This pregnancy stage is mostly spent in anxious anticipation. You will still be undergoing some distress though, in the form of heartburn, swelling (especially in the ankles, finger and face), feeling overheated, increase in basal metabolic rate, increased pressure on bladder, breast tenderness, weight gain, sleeping troubles, fatigue, Braxton hicks contradictions (false labour). Besides these, you will notice that coarse hair will grow at an increased rate on your arms, legs and face. This hair will disappear within six months of your child’s birth. In the third trimester, the baby continues to grow as it shifts into its birth position. The baby will move lower down the abdomen, thereby reducing the pressure and making it easier for you to breathe.

Be positive and enjoy these pregnancy stages!
